Icebreaker
The Icebreaker will be held at the College of Physicians, and includes access to the Mutter Museum. Attendees will have a chance to explore the museum, and enjoy drinks and appetizers.

Bird Workshop
Please note: you must register for the conference on Monday as well in order to attend the workshop. The perching birds, or passerines, are among the most familiar of birds to our zoo visitors, but their captive populations are struggling. This seven-hour workshop will introduce attendees to some of these struggles and the ways keepers can help these birds continue to be a vibrant part of our collections. Topics should include population trends, medical and nutritional care, behavioral enrichment, and in situ conservation, but a primary goal of this workshop is to allow keepers to share their passerine husbandry advancements.

Pre-Conference Trip: Bronx Zoo
This trip will leave from the hotel at 7:00 a.m. on August 22, and return in time for the Icebreaker. The trip includes transportation and admission to the Bronx Zoo. Registration deadline: July 1, 2010

Post-Conference Trip: Cape May County Zoo and Whale/Dolphin Watching
This trip will leave the hotel at 7:00 a.m. on August 27, and head to the Cape May County Zoo. After a few hours at the zoo, we will eat lunch in the park, then head to a 3 hour whale and dolphin watching boat tour. The bus will arrive back at the hotel at approximately 7:00 p.m. Lunch is included in the cost of the trip. Registration deadline: July 1, 2010
